More about me:
Healing rarely happens through insight alone. It happens in the body, in the quiet moments between words, and in the slow, courageous work of learning to be with yourself differently. That belief is at the heart of how I work.
I'm Jennifer Grindon, a Registered Psychotherapist working with adults and couples navigating some of life's most tender and complex terrain — trauma, grief, relationship challenges, neurodevelopmental differences, and the often-overlooked but deeply important relationship you have with yourself.
My approach is somatic, relational, and parts-based. What that means in practice is that I pay attention to more than what you're saying — I'm also tracking what's happening in your body, noticing the parts of you that might be in conflict with each other, and following the thread of what's alive in the room between us. I draw on Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic and body-based practices, and attachment theory to help you understand not just why you feel the way you do, but how to actually shift it — not by pushing harder, but by getting curious.
Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to think their way out of pain. They're self-aware, often highly capable, and still find themselves stuck in the same patterns — in relationships, in their bodies, in the stories they tell about who they are. What I offer is a space to slow down, to meet the parts of you that have been working overtime, and to gently explore what might be possible when those parts feel safe enough to rest.
If you are interested in connecting, I offer a 10-15 minute free telephone consultation to see if we would be a good fit!
Using session analysis tools through Klarify, I’m able to reflect on how I support clients in real conversations and ensure my work remains intentional, responsive, and grounded in best practices. These graphs reflect my therapy approach from real sessions.
