More about Leana:
Leana is deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals and couples as they navigate the challenges and joys of being human. With a spirit of curiosity and a love of lifelong learning, she brings warmth, openness, and genuine care into every session.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy, and somatic practices. Leana supports clients in uncovering how past and present experiences shape the patterns they find themselves in today—whether in relationships with others or in their relationship with themselves. By gently exploring these patterns, she helps clients move toward deeper connection, emotional healing, and a stronger sense of self.
Leana believes that the body and emotions hold wisdom, and she integrates somatic-based practices to help clients strengthen their capacity for regulation and resilience. Her goal is always to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued. She views the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for transformation—one where authenticity, self-compassion, and new possibilities can emerge.
Leana holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Carleton University, and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Algonquin College.
Outside of her work, you’ll often find Leana walking her dog, moving her body through dance, or recharging at the gym.
