Fees

Consultation
Each client may request a free initial consultation. This is not a therapy session, but rather a 15-minute discovery call that provides us a chance to meet and get a feel for how we might work together.
During this consultation, we discuss all fees and policies as we decide if we are a good fit to work together.
Fees and Payment Options
Fees are applied to hourly sessions. These same hourly rates are pro-rated for reports/letters and consultation time with other professionals. Payments can be made by e-transfer. Payments are due at each session, please discuss any questions or concerns with your therapist.
Fees are subject to change at the discretion of Felt Sense Psychotherapy. Current clients will be provided with three-month’s notice of any changes to psychotherapy fees, notice of changes will be given to clients in writing if/when changes are made.
Cancellation/ No Shows
All services require twenty-four hours (24hrs) notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than twenty-four hours (24hrs) notice, are late by 15+ minutes or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee equal to their regular session fee.
Benefits
Please check your employer's benefits package for psychotherapy or psychology coverage. We do not currently bill insurance providers on behalf of our clients. We will provide clients with receipts that may be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance provider in advance of starting therapy to determine the nature of coverage.
If your insurance does not cover psychotherapy, you can advocate to Advocate for Registered Psychotherapy in your Benefits Plan.
Psychotherapy fees charged by Registered Psychotherapists in Ontario are considered by the Canada Revenue Agency to be an eligible medical expense for income tax purposes.
