WHAT IS PSYCHOTHERAPY?

Psychotherapy is a regulated, collaborative treatment in which a trained therapist supports you in addressing emotional, psychological, and relational challenges that affect your well-being. Through talk-based and somatic approaches, FSP therapists help you explore and shift patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour, improving daily functioning, relationships, and overall mental health.

Therapy for folks who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them or their relationships

At Felt Sense Psychotherapy, we support individuals and couples in exploring patterns and building more compassionate, trusting relationships—within themselves and with others. Grounded in a relational, attachment-focused approach, our work emphasizes the importance of felt safety, connection, and the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for meaningful change.

Life doesn’t always unfold in a straight line. Transitions, loss, and relational challenges can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. In therapy, we slow things down to help you reconnect with your inner experience—tuning into your emotions, nervous system, and body-based cues with curiosity and care.

By integrating relational and somatic approaches, therapy becomes more than insight—it becomes something you can feel and embody. Together, we work to deepen self-awareness, strengthen your capacity for connection, and create lasting shifts in how you relate to yourself and others.

Felt Sense Psychotherapy respectfully acknowledges that our practice is located on the traditional, unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation. We honour the enduring presence, knowledge, and resilience of the Algonquin people, as well as all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities who call this land home.

As a practice grounded in care, connection, and healing, we recognize that land acknowledgements alone are not enough. Words must be accompanied by meaningful action, reflection, and accountability. We are committed to ongoing learning about the histories and ongoing impacts of colonization, to challenging systemic inequities, and to supporting Indigenous voices, sovereignty, and self-determination.

We hold this acknowledgement as a starting point—an invitation to remain attentive to the land we practice on, the relationships we are part of, and the responsibilities we carry in contributing to more just and equitable systems of care.
